seriously though, if you wore out a set of tires, I don't care who's, in 6000 miles, there's something seriously wrong. Either that, or your racing up gravel and shared riddled rodes at 50 miles per hour and not slowing down at all for corners.

I've ran BFG AT's on a few work trucks (climbing fire roads to cell sites, etc) and still managed over 50K miles per set, rotating at 'oh whenever' and cross-rotating every other time.

 

I ordered the Pro Comp Extreme all terrain's 31x10.50x15's a month ago. 4 Wheel Parts said they were on back order and it would be a minimum of 45 days before they would have them available. It's hard to beat the price, $430 out the door.

 

I can't believe the STT's wore that fast. I have a set and I love them. I've had them on about 17,000 miles now and I have about 3/4 tread left and they are super quiet. Sorry about your bad luck! I'll probably try the new KM2's in a 33x10.5 for my next tire.

 

If you wanna shell out the money for the KM2s, go for it. I think they are around $230 a piece.

I have some 30x9.5R15 Mudcats right now that have the same tread pattern as the BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A KMs, I like em, I am going to get them in a 32X11.5 when these wear out.

But since you dont wanna a M/T tire, id go with a BFG A/T KO, a buddy of mine runs em on his 94 P.U, he likes em.

As for Treadwright, the shipping kills the deal for me, $20 a tire.

I agree that there is definitly somthing wrong with the truck to onlyget 6,000 miles on a set of tires, My neighbor hass stt's on his one ton they are over a year old and still have at leats 50% tread left

 

well first thing to do before you buy new tires....is get the problem fixed..because there IS something wrong...either ur alignment guy is on crack..or something is bent..or REALLY WORE OUT..so yea...i'd get everything checked by a different shop just to be safe..then buy new tires..because if not...then the next set will wear out quickly also..

 

Agreed, my alignment was off on my 94 runner when i got it, took it to a shop my old work uses, said i needed a pitman and idler arm, i replaced my idler but not the pitman. Took it to another shop, lower ball joints were gone. I only needed lower BJs from the start...ugh.

 

I used to work for Remington tire and I can honestly say those are garbage!! HAHA, They are so s****y that the company went bankrupt! They are made in Peru and cost about 8 dollars a tire!! LOL I have personally handled those tires and can say they are not good quality tires, throw them away ASAP!!!!!

If you an good cheap tire, use sport king A/T they have them in 32/11.50x15
they are suppose to wear better than bfg A/T. But they are 2ply instead of 3ply side wall like the bfg. I put a set on and took it to Colorado they drove nice and handle the trails great. Didnt see any wear on them keeped a good eye on them the whole time. So if looking for a A/T tire thats my choice!!

 

I love my Dueler A/T Revos, they are great road tires and excellent in everything EXCEPT mud. They're pants in mud. Bridgestone makes a Dueler M/T tho that has a much more aggressive tread & is supposed to still be great on the road.

The Firestone Destination tires are identical construction with the Duelers but with different tread designs. The Destination M/T is another great looking, wearing & handling tire.
