Need Info on 22re motor

Hey! New to this sight, but ive got a question for you guys. Can a 22re out of an 88 toyota truck that is fuel injected be put in a 87 truck that is carburated? Thanks for the help!

Yes but you will need to transfer all the associated wiring and electronics, ECU,etc. The 88 was an odd ball year when it comes electronics, sensors, etc.

Are you talking engine swap to have the 87 as an injection 22re vehicle.

Swap in the injection motor as a long block so the 87 is still carb'd but has the long block from the 88?

or.....

Take parts from one 88 and put on 87 like head, oil pump.... whatever?

The easy way is to Swap the bottom end and have your head pressure tested or buy a new high performance head!
