I think I know what claw thing you are talking about, it crossed my mind for a second, but I thought it might be too large to get in the plug hole. Dam that thing should just pop out with that extractor in there, plugs are usually not that tight.

You would think it would come out, but it hasn't yet.. I'm really impressed with the extractor tool, I honestly didn't think it would hold, but its holding on really well. Blow torch this weekend.

Alright good news. After torching it and using a huge 1/2 rachet with a breaker bar I got it out. I managed to get the electrode out. I pulled the other sparkplugs out and another electrode was missing, but I couldn't find it in the cylinder even with a magnet. Also I noticed this Notice that its bent. I don't know what caused that. Could have been the removal of the plug. But anyways now I have a knock. It sounds very similiar to a knock when you have low oil. But it could be that I have something in the cylinder.

Actually I take it back it sounded lick a tick from the valve train, but anyways the tick is gone and the motor is running very smoothly now. No power loss, white, or black smoke. I think I'm still going to pull the head because I have some symptoms of a blown head gasket. Give me an excuse to get a cam and some headers. Thanks for your help.

thats good, it has enough miles on it that you can justify doing a rebuild and you get to put all the cool new parts on it.
