I have a 94 toyota pickup and the truck was dead.so we thought it was the alternator because the battery was reading 9 volts so we bought a new alternator and then charged the battery... now it cranks but sounds like it wont connect. could it be the fuel pump? or what could it be? we also tried jumping the truck with my friends car but the same things happen...

 

it cranks but wont start.. i heard it could be the fuel filter?

 

ck fuses first. one may have blown when you connected the jumpercables. could be filter or pump. you could shoot starting fluid into the engine to elimnate a spark problem.
