need door chime module
I need a replacement door chime/buzzer module for my truck, I dont know where exactly its located or what it looks like, but if anyone knows where one might be located could you point me in that direction, b/c whatever that module is, it apparently got wet in the submersion that i described in a past thread..so now i have a constant chime going off, it gets quieter when i put my seatbelt on, but its almost always there no matter what...dont know what to do...

I'd just follow the sound.
I think the module itself is behind or around the fuse panel at your feet on the drivers side. Personally, if I had to fix it, I'd just remove it, not go to the expense of replacing it.
Or, maybe you can just get a louder stereo.

i wouldnt fool with replacing except for the fact that im pretty sure its the same module that chimes or rings when you leave your keys in the ignition and when you leave your headlights on...and that has helped me a time or two from coming out to a dead battery...

I don't like the door chime as much as anyone else here, so I'm just going to duct tape the button down by the door hinge. I think I remember an article of it being on the back of the gauge cluster (could be completely wrong).

on my truck it was at the bottom of the dash console ontop of the trans tunnel.
on my 4runner its barried in the kickpannel and have yet been able to kill it (not for lack of trying)

Ok, so i dont know if this is what your problem is. But here is how i disabled my door chime module.
First off, here is its location. In the door jam toward the bottom.
I then unscrewed the bolt surrounding the white button. The white button slide into the driver side kick panel. I will retrieve it later...
Remove the kick panel panle and find the door chime module wire.
The wire will lead you to this little guy...All you have to do is unplug it, and for me, that is how i disabled it. No more rings and bings and chimes from the driver side anymore.
If you do this, your car dome lights will not come on when you open the door, the keys can be left in the ignition with the door open, and no sound will come out. The lights can be left on while the car is off and the door is open, so becareful not to leave them on.
Good Luck, i hope this is what you are looking for
