neat discovery on engine parts..

during my rebuild i used parts from my 87 turbo engine and my 88 4 runner engine ,and when i went to pick up a oil pickup ,found they where differant ,the 88 is larger almost all the way to the flange ,,and the turbo pickup was same size all the way to the screen . Kinda neat i would say ,needless to say i used the bigger one.

Huh, thats pretty nifty...but will it make any difference seeing as the larger one still necks down to the same I.D. of the smaller?

The bigger one is definitely better. At least a 5hp gain should be expected.
