Mystery stud

1986
Pickup
22R
2WD

Looking in the engine bay, I see this stud, with a rubber mount (see the pictures). The threads on it are clean, which leads me to believe that something was attached to it recently. But I can't figure out what. Nothing seems loose or out of place. Any ideas?

Hummm....

That mount does not look familiar to me.

I just checked and my 1987 22R truck does not have that mount.

So the mystery continues.....

My mechanic tells me it that a bracket attaches to it that holds the AC line.
