-My New Truck- 1994 Toyota Pickup

i hurculined my truck back in august. did the bottom rocker panels, front chrome bumper and grill. I sanded the body and used the acetone to clean it. For the bumper and grill i did a quick coat of black rustoleum and then hurculined that with no sanding. Still looks good today.

one little side thing you might want to do...
on mine the turn signals in the bumper were cracked and finally got knocked out in the woods from behind. I've since moved them up to the running light housings by drilling a small second hole. It makes it easier to put a bumper on the front too (I'm building one out of some scrap next week). I dunno if you'll be interested buy I've got a set of 33" x-terrains on black steel wheels that I need to get rid of. They have less than 10,000 miles on them. I only drove them from Tennessee to Auburn AL about 5 times. (250 miles trip) I'm looking at trying to get 500-600 for them. Only had them for 6 months, and most of that time they've been sitting in a parking lot here at auburn. PM me if your interested (I'm in no rush to sell).

Just a little update... did some mods to the truck and it's lookin' MUCH better in my opinion.
-31x10.5 Maxxis Bighorn Mud Terrains
-15x8 Black Rock Crawler Wheels
-Herculiner on entire bed, around the bottom of the body, grille, and bumpers (Can you tell I like that stuff?)
-Black Herculined Kobalt toolbox
It was quite a fun process cutting off all of the rust and replacing the areas with fiberglass...

Hey I want a pic... and I am a chick! Guess I am on the ole' watch list too - LOL
So did all the herculining add a bunch of extra weight. I'd love to have something like that on Tippy , but she is heavy enough as it is. I'll live without in order to save weight up high...

Well, I did the fiberglassing when I was back home and left my camera at school so I didn't have anything to take the pics with. And since I have only had the truck for a little over a month, I don't really have many pics at all of before because it was SO ugly! Ha. We did the rust on my bf's 4runner, so tonite when he's off work, we can post some of the before's on his and the after fiberglass...

I am SO opposite... every bit of chrome on that truck has got to go! And that stuff is tough to cover! The chrome probably wouldn't show up most of the time anyways because it will be covered in mud.

I agree 100% about the whole chrome thing. I would much rather have my truck be blacked out along with the red main coat of paint. plus it's easier to touch up if you happen to hit something along a trail.

Those door handles are just chromed plastic stuff so any thing you use paint wise has to be compatable. I believe there are paints that are exterior rated that you could use or you could just do a black vinyl wrap.
