My 88 4runner ***pics*** 56k beware

It started last year around this time.... I traded my 86 k5 with a 1-ton drivetrain and blown motor for a perfectly running rust/dent free 88 4runner that had a superlift 4in lift and 35s.
Only pic I have when I first got her.

My intent was to be able to wheel the piss out of it so I need to get rid of that pesky IFS..

Purchased a trail-gear SAS kit along with cross-over steering. I don't have pics of the steering because it was purchased after I used my friends digi cam.

Front axle from an 83 toy pick-up donor truck

"new" leafsprings hung. I used superlift 7" front springs that I got from a friend for free, then removed a leaf so they wouldnt be so stiff.I got a ton more lift then expected..

disregard the steering in this pic it was just a temporary fix so we could move the truck around the shop..

I towed it home because we needed to bring another truck into the shop for some work.

Another pic posing next to mom's car. Again this truck was never drivin on the road with this steering!!!

Ok so fast forward a little bit. Repainted it and finally got the new steering in, had lead poured in the carrier for a rear locker, open front, a ton of lift and 36" tsls. .. This was takin the day before we left for dresser,WI

Ok so I have very very few wheeling pics...
Well the lead had spun out of my carrier the first obstacle of the day leaving me with an open rear. I went into this little rock pit with open diffs, stock gearing and a heavy foot..aftermath would be 2 very twisted driveshafts, and bent rear springs but I made it!!!

The weekend was comming to an end and I had not broken anything else on my rig and did fairly well through the weekend for not being locked. I was board so I decided to tip my rig.

So after all that jazz I brought it home and it sat for a long time with no work done to it till a few month ago...
New paint was needed. I also decided to go with 529s,ARB air-locker in the front, spool rear, square front and rear driveshafts, and 63"chevs in the rear. Yes I know blocks are bad trackbars are in the works to help with the horrible axle wrap thats about to occur..

I've never wheeled a locked rig before so I'm super excited to see what trouble I can get myself into this year!!!!

I have 8" shackles right now with the blocks just so I can keep level with the front... soon I'm going to go down to 3in springs in the front and ditch the blocks and run 38s with longfields.. right now money is not around for new suspension.

THANKS!! my first plan was to just run a spool in the rear, open front with 410 gears f/r. My friend then offered to sell his loaded 3rd member with 5.29s and the ARB for 300bux so that pushed that project a better direction.

Not a fan of the color scheme...to each his own.

Other than that the general concept is what I want.

hell yeah i always like meeting new people. Ill be in a group of about 5 other trucks. one is an 83 pick-up pictured below, along with a green chevy pick-up, a red landcruiser on 38s with yellow roll-cage, a red jeep that is also red with a yellow cage on 39s,and a olive drab k5 on 40s , so keep an eye out for the group!!! it shouldnt be hard finding my truck

THANKS!!! we just acquired it about 2 months ago. we have a bobcat at our shop so thats how got em up there.heres some more pics of the shop, its 2000sqft,bathroom included with a 30X8ft loft that we WERE going to use for a chill spot but its turning into storage.

Its a great upgrade from our old shop that was about 650sq where you could only have to 2 trucks in at a time if you wanted to work on them. and we are only payin 700/month utilities included for this one.

As far as pics go of the other toy..

all the off-roading pics are on another disc...those were takin last year only thing that has changed in looks is the grille and the rear bed is covered in diamond plate.specs are
stock 22r
529s f/r
ARB front welded rear
39.5 tsls
stock toy axles. he is getting longfields next week
onboard air
rear-disc
rear 63" chevys
stock rear toy springs upfront
square shafts
and a snorkel made of pvc and duct tape
