Thanks!
Yeah Raush is a great time for sure
Yeah Bryan is coming too, but unfortunately the rest of our group has Heeps !
I am not sure how the Jamboree works but I am sure Bryan and Myself will probably end up wheeling with our group of buddies..I just want to go to check out all the other yotas, do some wheeling, and have a good time like usual.
As far as Aaron goes...ummm...yeah...he wont be there...
here ya go dude

Thanks!
Not bought, built, body can be purchased from RC4WD.com
Yeup 3" kit, but I would recommend the 4" kit for the rear, and I also just pulled a leaf out of the front pack on mine
Pathfinder and Cherokee both have builds on RCCrawler.com
This weekends project....DOUBLER!!
I'm going through the basics, I hope it can help some others
I backed the truck into the garage at 10 this morning

started draining the fluids out of the tcase and trans

Headed inside to pull out the 4WD shifter

I had previously assembled the trail creeper box this week, it was fairly straight forward and TGs instructions were good. The only issue I had was trying to get the 2.28 gear off of the main shaft. I was drawing a blank in my mind and couldn't think of a good way to to get the bearing off so I rang TGs tech dept and the rep asked if I had ever done a rear wheel bearing by smashing the shaft on the floor...I started laughing because we used to do them like that at the dealer all the time. So needless to say I smash it on the floor and off came the bearing followed by the gear

Last weekend, I had pulled a leaf out of the front pack...I hadn't been happy with the height or the shackle angle since the SAS. The ride height is now a lot better as it the shackle angle. Only issue now was the front drive shaft had no slip yet, not a problem since it need to be lengthened anyways

up on jack stands it went so I would be able to pull the front shaft

Pulled the shafts and the BudBuilt single case cross member I had in it

Out came the case

Tossed it on my cart to begin the modifications needed to install the TG twin stick

Took out the ball/spring assembly

I got lucky when I knocked out the roll pin the shift fork and actually was able to catch it with the magnet

shift rail out

I bolted in the twinstick to check operation of shifting

Installed the studs with some lock tight

Then matted the 2 cases together

I then bolted the shifters in again to check operation

It was a good thing I did because I could not get the front case to shift, I took the shifter out and tried to move it with a screw driver and it wouldnt move still...I took the ball and spring out and it moved fine...my stepfather came over and suggested that maybe there was to much tension on the shifter ball. He was correct and we simply spaced it with some washers

Before tossing the case back in, I change the rear out put seal

Inside, I asked my stepfather for some help in modifying the floor, he took some measurements and started tracing out the floor

Using the measurements and the TG twin stick boot we were able to figure out exactly what needed to be cut out.

Tossed the case back in and bolted up the new TG cross member and solid mount

Inside the shifters went back in

I wanted to keep the center console so my stepfather drilled the welds on the stock bracket and move it back and secured the front of it with a simple self tapper

Tomorrow, I will drop the shafts off to be redone, and I still need to lengthen the 4x4 shift light indicator and figure out what to do with the speedo cable as it appears to be to short.
That is all for now, thanks for the read.

Back when I had my 97 taco, I had pulled out the cluster and made it light up all red. I saw a thread on here the other day of guys converting the dash to amber and decided it was time to finally start on my dash light conversion. I hit up autozone for some red bulbs and got to work
one thing I wanted to do this time was also make the blinkers blink red as well. I started by pulling off the front glass and popping out the green filter for the blinker

Next thing I did was grab some sheets of lexan that I had in the basement that I use on my RC trucks normally and traced the filter on to it

After cutting it out I installed it and colored over it with a red sharpee marker

you can kinda see the red filters now

quick test to make sure everything is working and looking good

After the dash cluster I moved onto the Altimeter/inclinometer

I wanted the heater controls to also light up red. I didnt know of any after market company that makes that bulb in a pre-made red color so I used some Testors model paint that is meant for painting tail/brake light lenses

and a quick picture finished up, for some reason my stereo shows up orange but its red like everything else

I waited till later tonight and snapped some additional pics

I also picked up a new shifter boot on ebay and put the shifter console back in. The original was black but the guy makes these new and only had gray, I think it looks pretty good though

I'm not going to go led, my friend just did it in his and he has several hot spots he has deal with. I do want to get the film for the clock though and maybe a different tach since I couldn't get mine apart.
Doubler has been tested on some snow mounds here, its a beast....hoping to hit rausch at the end of march.

RCCrawler.com/forum Check it out

Just not tie rod ends from TG, and also ordered a matching shift knob because...well...why not right? I took the truck on a shake down run here in some local trails...its freakin sick, I cant wait to get it to Rausch!
