My 86' 4Runner!

Here she is! I picked her up yesterday. Only 244K miles and 24 years young! It's a 5 speed manual 4x4. New clutch was put in about 10K ago. I have a new passenger fender for her too. Needs some TLC.

Nice!! It's funny, you went right for the top. I know there are folks on here that STILL have never taken the top of their 4Runner.

Which reminds me, Its so close to Washington Soft top weather..........

Hey! I prefaced it with "washington weather" LOL

That means its based off the low temp being high enough I don't run the risk of the windows freezing, not warm enough during the day to roll around with the top down.

Lol. I would add doing a SAS to your plans IIWY unless she's gonna be a street queen. But again that's just me. But always happy to see another 1st gen 4runner come into the world. Keep us posted

Call me a newb if you must but what's an SAS? lol and no she won't be a street queen, i plan on doing some offroading. Also i can't engage the hubs to lock, i can get one about 90% of the way there and the other about 40% of the way there, what can i do to get them to lock? Spray a little WD-40 on them?

SAS is solid axle swap, it gets rid of your current ifs. man throw some 1.5" bj spacers and 33x10.50 mud terrains and call it a day. lol

Sas (solid axle swap) ditch that ifs.
Rebuild your hubs. Also if you buy a new front axle this will fix your problem. There's tons of write ups on here about doing a sas and what you need etc
