Yeah, one of my elk hunting buddies gets 24-25 with his 235's on, and when he puts 30x9.50's on it drops to 22...SO I guess I shouldnt complain about 20+ with 35's....really not that bad when I think about it..I just wouldnt mind 24 thats all...

Most people that think that Kansas is flat probably drove down I-70 between Hays and the Colorado border and that's all they remember. That stretch of road seems flat, but it's a steady incline into Colorado.

I drove thru New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada on my way to Cali last fall, and nothing (including a few Corvettes) could hang with my Buick Riviera with a SC 3.8 V6. It was pretty sweet to fly by sports cars in my big as boat going up mountain roads.

Buicks are famous (some would say notorious) for being sleepers. The infamous Grand National is a great example, pretty much the Monte Carlo and Stingray eater of its day...

FYI:
The elevation of Kansas ranges from 679 feet at its lowest point near Coffeyville and to 4039 feet at its highest point at Mount Sunflower near Weskan. That is a distance of about 470 miles and a difference in elevation of 3360 feet. This averages about 7.2 feet of elevation per mile or .0164'"/foot. In comparison, masons generally pour concrete walks with a pitch of .25"/foot to prevent water from accumulating on the walk.
Although there may very well be a few hills in Kansas, I wouldn't exactly call it hilly.

Dang...I'm only getting about 17 MPG at best case, mostly highway miles...I do have an exhaust leak around my O2 though...that's going to get fixed this weekend with a new down pipe. I've changed plugs, cleaned the throttle body and used Seafoam. At $2.60 per gallon I was hoping my 22-RE would get mid 25 MPG....but I am not even close to that.

I lived there from 1989 until 2003, I did High school and U of M (graduated in 2003 with a BS in Geology), then moved to NM. That place was growing in leaps and bounds when I left, and from what I hear, the last 3 years haven't been any different. I'll be back in June probably, and I'm prepared for suburbia.

Oh yea the Grand National is a nice rare car. I can't remember but I thought it was a super charged V6. I think they might have only made them in black too. Or atleast thats the only color I've ever seen them in on the road.
As for Gas Mileage my truck sucks. I drive relatively slow and I'm getting approximately 16-17 MPG around town. Before my rebuild I was easily getting 19-20 around town. I'm not sure what is the deal. I think it maybe the new injectors.

Check your owners manual, both of mine 95runner(sold) and 92 truck say that the dealer will replace the O2 sensor at no cost to the owner, FREE IS ALWAYS GOOD
