Moving the Clock.

I just hate where the clock sits in my pickup, I can't see it unless I tilt my head down to the side. I'm wondering if anyone has moved their clock? If so, where have you moved it? What have you put in place of the clock?

Get a new headunit, then pull the clock and replace it with a couple of these:

Just lean over and look, its not something that you would look at constantly anyways.

Hummm. Good ideas all around. My head unit is actually a fairly decent flip-face Kenwood, and it does have a clock, but I don't like the clock in it either! I've thought about putting switches there for whatever... EWAYota has the right idea, but I've got other mods in mind for the yota before that.

Maybe I didn't ask my question correctly... I'm really interested in if anyone has actually bothered moving the clock. That sounds like a pita since you'd have to make an extension harness, but I thought maybe, just maybe someone has gone through the trouble.

My plan is to remove the very bottom piece of the center dash, the one that meets the carpet. After I remove that I was planning on making up a custom fiberglass piece that was more functional than the near useless vertical pocket that Toyota made. I was planning on putting in a tach, oil pressure gauge, maybe volts and water and who knows what else. It seems there is a lot more space for goodies down there that what is being utilized. Has anyone built a new custom piece like the one I'm describing?

LOL I have one of those cheap Jumbo digital clocks we sell( Advance Auto parts), in my truck. You know the ones that stick on with velcro. Works like a charm. Mine is stuck on the upper left corner of the windsheild with 3M body tape.

My rig never had a clock and the OEM ones still are going for about $40.00; if you can still find them.

Well, I thought about putting a sundial and compass on the dash, but couldn't find any that matched my interior.
