Missfiring

Would a bad tps cause a miss-fire at idle ? It's has been miss-firing for awhile . The codes that come up are 12 , 11 and 7 . Any thoughts?

I would post a video of it idling ,but it's too windy outside .

nope. from what i understand, the tps does exactly as it sounds. it tells the engine's computer where the throttle is. it does not play a role in controlling spark plugs. at least, i dont believe it does. if you are having a miss fire, your engine is going to be a rattle house. you may experience a significant loss of power going up hills. it may seem to shake a lot too. if you have a repair manual, it will tell you what those codes mean under the diagnostic section. if you dont have a manual, go to a parts house where they sell them (kragen, autozone, riebes). and just ask the guys at the counter. if they know anything they will help you out. free of charge, hehe
