Missfire at startup?

Hello again everybody and thanks for helping me figure out my last problem....bad EGR valve. Now my truck (88 4Runner 22RE w/15,000mi new Marlin tranny and transfer case) is running on 3 cylinders at start up and smoking till the 4th cylinder kicks in. I took out the plugs the 1st time it happened and they were pretty fried....erroded and white-ish. replaced them, the wires, and cap and rotor which had a bunch of crusty buildup in it along with moisture residue likely from the recent engine cleaning.... oops. So it ran great till today when it fired up on 3 again after work and smoked for 15-20 seconds till the 4th cylinder fired up??!!? Any thoughts? Anything else that could have got screwed up when I washed the engine bay?? Well please let me know if you have any ideas and thanks for your time.....TIM
