Most of the time when I drive my yoda, in 1st and 2nd it drives fine. 3rd and 4th have a miss. Some days I crank it and it just spudders through all gears and during idling and has . lack of power(some days though) It also ticks all the time. I have no clue what my problem is any help would be appreciated

 

Sounds like bad spark plug wires.

 

I replaced them, plugs and distributer cap

 

What engine, year, etc?

When is the last time you adjusted you valves? If never, start there.

 

Kinda sounds like a carb issue. I use to brag about my carb until about 3 weeks ago. It kinda started doing the same thing although my tick is from a solenoid located on the carb. Instead of fixing it I ordered a new weber.

If its your carb I have 2 factory aisin's in great working condition if you'd be interested. I'd sell one for 125.00 shipped.

Do remember that you can buy a new weber for around 250.00 shipped. So you have alot of options if that's the problem and you don't wanna try to rebuild

 

I've never adjusted the valves so I will start there. And Toyota boy, let me check it out and if it is my carb, ill pm you about buying it
