wow, so you say 3 days ago that you want to get yourself into something smaller and then one night when your drunk some body steals your truck and runs it into something, effectively totalling it...

what a wonderful coincidence, good luck in your search for a new car

If he didn't have full coverage than what would have been his motive for completely destroying his own truck.
Way to go for dumping on someone who's obviously hurt from the loss.....jerk.

simmer down there buddy, i wasnt alluding to any wrong doing on your part, though it does sound like you have a guilty conscience. either way, sorry for the loss of that truck, it sure did look good.

all i was trying to say is that kind of circumstance doesnt happen all that often, and it NEVER happens when you want it to... but either way i look forward to your formal apology whenever you get around to it, or not.

Yes. It looks like the passenger side door lock was tampered with, I'm not exactly sure how they got it started without a key. I put my key in it today at the impound lot and it didnt seem like it was tampered with at all. I'm thinking maybe they used a filed key or something. Makes no sense otherwise. I'm just crabby and bummed about it so if I seem snippy, my bad.

Oh yeah, and as stated above: why would I intentionally total my truck that only has liability insurance?

Thanks dude, yeah she was a great truck and I will really miss her. kiwipushrod from this forum will be picking it up tomorrow and salvaging whatever parts he can from the truck. Hopefully she will live on in many other trucks.

ok, well i guess ill stir the pot a little since i was already accused of it when i wasnt doing it, so i might as well have my fun...

actually.... no i wont, because even if im wrong, which i more than likely am, it will still cause pain and suffering to you if someone read it that was dealing with your case. so go ahead, call me an asshat and all that, but im not going to purposely burn you just because i can.

again, best of luck with your search for a civic, and sorry your truck got smashed, it was indeed mint

Yeah, I'm not sure what his exact plans for it are but maybe he'll be able to help you out. I know for sure, the box is his.

Well, at least you can look at it in some positive way. Its not a total loss, there aren't to many vehicles that part out completely, or that you can sell for decent all messed up?? right. I mean, this all sucks HARD, i was in a similar situation once, its crappy, but at least you'll be getting that honda and fuel mileage now ??......
(yeah, still not so good of points, but i'm just trying to be positive... about nothing kinda, but that situation sucks)

Sorry to hear about the truck.

As for the locks part, Toyota only used 4 keys basically during those years. My keys will unlock 4/7 Toyotas I've tried them on, starting 3 of them.

While that may not be how they were able to do it without much tampering, it does happen.

Again, sorry for the loss. Stick around, we wont hate on ya for not having a Toy. You might get another one later on.
