Yeah, honestly, if you really don't use it as a truck often then you might as well sell it. Like junkers said, they are just vehicles, thats it, if you simply cannot afford it, don't let your Toyota be the reason you went bankrupt.

If you cant fit in the 'small' parking spots. BOB it!!

The width is never usually an issue, its just the length of the truck.

just my imho here haha but justbecause you get rid of a vehicle doesnt particularly mean you have to stop frequenting the forum of that vehicle, hell i am a registered member on hundreds of different autmobile forums because i ahve owned somewhere around 200 different vehicles plus have repaired many hundreds different more and have had to reg on forums in order to post and find this or that out in order to repair it

alot of these forums i still frequent just to help out the hobby/interest

hmm

and i alot of times end up with yet another one of a particular type of vehicle anyways

hell the only foreign vehicle i have ever had in my posession- other than a few bikes.. and a '75 mercedes 150 that i took to the shredder last spring- was the little 88 toyota pickup in my signature that i drove for 4 years and then scrapped last spring also

but im still here haha

i hope to find another toyota pickup... even though i really only like old/older american vehicles... especially bigger trucks..
however the toyota REALLY surprised the hell out of me... i did alot with that darn thing that i never could have imagined that one of these trucks could ever even attempt to do, especially for its size and lack of power...
and now i want to find another one.. maybe one without major frame rot and breakage this time... though. and it wasnt THAT bad on gas, heck it was better on fuel than the '91 S-10 4.3L pickup that i have now in which has replaced it...
and we all know how these 4.3L GM engines are not usually the best on fuel mileage..
of course it already has far more mileage on it that my '88 ever got to have before the frame broke and crumbled.. it had 145k on it and the S-10 has 195k now

but i guess i live alot different life than most others

my life is pretty much entirely revolves around vehicles and such

so i dunno anything else

if vehicles dropped off the face of the earth then i would too because i would have absolutely nothing to wake up each day for hmm

so haha

anyways, you do have to do what ya gotta!

in this life

for sure!

to get ahead and stay ahead/afloat

even the little things count often

good luck

YES, but, 2wd yota have to be pretty, unless you make it a dune truck. You know you can't just leave your yota alone, so you going to drop it, and there can't be any blemishes of any sort, ect. (i have no idea.... )

Thanks for all the replies, guys. Keep them coming.

So an interesting scenario has opened up regarding the the sale of my Truck. (if it happens) My little brother in AZ wants to pick it up because his little 2WD Toy is on its last legs. He's wanted my truck since when I first got it and I'd be MORE than happy to give it to him for the cost of the Civic plus the gas to get it there. It would stay in the family which would make me feel better and actually get some use. He is super amped about the idea and so am I.

There is a possibilty that my parents plus him will be relocating to Amsterdam in the near future though. My dad's been interviewing for a job there and the company seems very interested in having him go back to europe. In this case, I will have to figure something else out.

Oh, and I was talking to the owner of the Civic last night and he told me since he doesnt really need to sell it anytime soon that there's no rush and he'd prefer to see me in it then someone he doesnt know. Also, he wants to drive the Truck out to AZ to drop it off with me and then make the trip to LA to pick up a JDM 1996 Spec integra Type-R that is getting shipped soon. should be an interesting trip.

Get a bike if its only an 11 mile trip to work.

Now you'd save some money.

I was getting 27-28 MPG with my 22RE when it died.

The 90 Camry I drive now is getting 28-30. There just ain't enough room in the back.

I guess this would apply to any older vehicle. I just got my renewal for the '91 Runner's tabs. I live in MN, not known for low tax, and my renewal was only $41. A newer car would cost a lot more than that.

Exactly. I was thinking of rearranging my autos, but I've owned them all for at least 2 yrs each and my renewal stickers are only about $28 each.

So last night my truck was stolen on the Eastside of Milwaukee and crashed into either a pole or a fire hydrant or something. I woke up and walked from a girls house that I passed out at after the Brewers game and found my truck wasnt where I parked it. I immediately called the tow lot assuming it had gotten towed because of tickets or something. They told me they did indeed have it, but it had a popped tire and some front end damage. It was also found about a half mile from where I parked it.
So I'm thinking WTF?
I Call the cops and have one come to my girls place. Turns out there was no damage to the locks or ignition. They asked if I wanted to report it stolen because there wasnt really much point since it was already recovered and I dont have full coverage. I'm still undecided on whether or not I want to do this.

Go to the tow lot and find this:

Im still processing it all now, I'm kind of sick to my stomach and in shock. kiwipushrod from this forum is picking it up for parts so I hope it'll get some use and live on. So yeah, looks like I wont be around here much anymore. Maybe stop in every now and then for fun. Thanks for everything guys!

go ahead and leave. you'll be back. haha, just kidding dude, you gotta do what you gotta do.

and FYI, the V6 trucks are cheap, but the 4cyl are bringing more money now than they did a year ago... I know that for a fact. run a 4 cyl 5 speed 4wd 89-95 on autotrader.com, and see how much the cheapest one is... these are stripped trucks too.
