MarlinCrawler 3.0 V6 Clutch

My clutch is going and I'm switching to a MarlinCrawler, something I've been waiting to do when my clutch finally went. Well it's time and I'm really excited. I spoke with a salesman at MC yesterday who advised me against the ceramic clutch, but told me that I'd be very happy with the new, super heavyduty (1600lb) clutch MC-11009S, Super HD Clutch Kit, 6 Cylinder (3.0 L), 1988-1995. I was worried that this would be overkill but he told me that he had it in his rig and liked it a lot. I put in the order and didn't think about it again.
Fast Forward to today, I was working through shipping with another salesman and just for kicks I asked him if he agreed with the other salesman about the super heavyduty clutch. He warned me that there is an error on the website, that the regular HD clutch is 1200lb (compared with the OEM 900), but that the 3.0 V6 Superheavyduty is 2100 and that the marlin staff doesn't like it very much at all for a daily driver.
I said "what?"!!!! Apparently all the other superheavyduty clutches are 1600 but our 3vze application is 2100 and overkill. The website still says 1600 so be careful! I changed my order to a regular heavyduty marlin clutch which is a very respectable 1200lb.
here is a link to the page, someone might want to call to confirm/get a second opinion on this.

x2 - I got the regular 3vze HD clutch. Feels like stock, but a tad more grabby. You're gonna love it

I have always thought marlin's customer service has been lacking a little... Thought it was just me.

very happy with marlincrawler clutch :)

well chalk me up as another happy marlincrawler clutch customer!!!!!!!
I took the 4rnr in to Toyota of Kirkland to have it done. I would never ordinarily go to a dealership but this dealership is special because Daryl works there. (Daryld on the forums). Not only is he a really great guy, but the work he does is top notch because he owns, wheels, and has built up 2nd gens from the ground up. He did an absolutely spectacular job if you live in washington and need a job done he is the man. he also replaced the rear main seal thanks daryl

my report is: feels like a new truck. Clutch has never felt this good! precise, crisp shifting and much grabbier! I can get my RPMs nice and high again without slipping out which was really bad before.

just want to mention that marlincrawler's support for the 2nd gen is awesome!!
many other manufacturers have given up on the 2nd gen but not marlincrawler, they have a huge selection for the 3.0L.

I was very used to my old clutch and am not quite used to this one yet!

is there a break-in period with clutches, will I notice changes, any instructions with marlin clutches to get the most out of them? I need more time to drive it, but my first impressions are very positive. just a few thoughts, I seem to be shifting faster than before, from 1st-3rd, much grabbier, much faster to get to 3000rpm than before...what exactly is happening in there to make it so much better
thanks!!

I drove Jay's truck today and I can't say I could tell much of a difference between a 22RE with a OEM clutch and Jay's V6 MC clutch. Without knowing, you couldn't tell the difference between OME and MC. Its a nice clutch.
