Maintenance receipt porn

Mine came with a bill of sale.
I've always meant to keep receipts and records of things, but never do. I never take my vehicles to shops for anything so the only receipts I would have are from an auto parts store and showing someone a bunch of receipts for stuff doesn't really prove much since those parts could have been used on any vehicle.
My 4Runner had a sticker on the fan shroud saying when the timing belt was replaced and a look at the suspension and steering told me that it had been serviced regularly. None of the balljoints or tierods were ripped. The CV's were badly ripped(and still are) but that was it. You can usually tell just by popping the hood or taking a peak under the vehicle, but a nice record of service would be an awesome thing to have, for buying or selling a vehicle.

I've never kept good service records for any of my vehicles but I do have a list of how many miles per tank of gas that my 4-Runner got. The fuel gauge broke and mine isn't an SR5 so it doesn't have the trip meter. I used to always fill up the tank and write down the mileage so I would know when I needed to fill up again. The list goes back around 100,000 miles, sad but true.

I have recipts back to 1996 on my truck. Including the $3800 bill after it was totalled.lol, If it were not for these recipts I don't think he (the PO) would have sold the truck for free. I've always kept recipts for my maintainace, really helps out the resale and lets the next guy know what there getting into.
