It depends on what you are looking for. PB has a very high flashpoint, so its good to use when your heating. Also different oils have other uses. PB can be used to evacuate water from a distributor. I dont think you can use ATF/Acetone in your distributor. Also the price.

Did you ever get the nuts off (that didn't sound right).

Wanted to share that I exploded my distributor cap many years ago after I sprayed it out with WD40. Was at a car wash and the truck wouldn't start so I popped the cap off and sprayed it out. Cranked the engine and it went "POP". Had a roll of duct tape and put all the peices together and taped the cap back on top of the distributor. Started right up.

cut them out... get some new ones at a junk yard. they are free if you put them in your pocket jk... dont steal
