Low idle when engine is hot
1990 4Runner 3VZE, auto trans
I recently replaced the spark plug wires after two of them were rubbing on the EGR pipe and burned right through. After I changed the wires, everything was fine. (Yes, I got new wire holders too) Then, a few days later, the idle speed dropped to about 450, but it only does it when the engine is hot. Any speed above idle is fine and my gas mileage seems unaffected. When it is cold, everything runs fine. This problem only happens when the engine has warmed up a bit.
