Low Idle: Important Tip

So I've been chasing a low idle problem for years. When it got hot it would idle low and run real funky. I read somewhere on the forums, (I don't remember who it was and can't find the post), where someone suggested removing the idle adjustment screw and cleaning it and the hole it screws into with throttle body cleaner. I did that and no more idle issues and it runs even better.

If you have a low idle issue or if your truck runs rough I highly recommend giving this a try.

What motor? Did you replace the o-ring?.
Maybe put your rig info in your signature.

As an adon to this. I had an intermitent 200 rpm idle. Turned out the metal coolant pipe that goes to the TB was mostly clogged. Cleaned it out and consistent predictable idle.

the coolant going into the throttle body is needed for the idle air control valve.
