hello, this is my first post and about to be my first toyota.. im buying a 95 4runner with the 3vze v6 engine. i went to check it out last night and everything seemed good except there was a loud ticking noise coming from the top part of the engine, almost sounded like lifters ticking,but i read somewhere that these engines dont have lifters. Just wanted to know if anyone knew what that noise could be,if its a big deal and easily fixed. Truck only has 122k miles on it and is in amazing condition.

Put your finger on the fuel pressure regulator; I'd bet good money that's the source of your ticking ...
