i know this sort of thing gets posted alot, but none seem to fit the description of mine. i have a 92 toyota pickup with 22re, and there is a very loud ticking/clicking noise coming from the drivers side...seems like rockers. cold, hot, always does it, loudest at higher rpms. i adjusted the valves, and where it seems to be coming from, the valve is kind of a different color, its black and all the others are oily color. it doesnt sound too serious, but its annoying as well as embarrasing when in a parking lot. if anyone can help me with this i appreciate it very much

 

i just live with it, doesnt seem to be doing any harm but seafoam treatment has made my ticking almost disappear completely. mightve been my injectors and after 2 or 3 gas tank treatments i dont hear the ticking anymore now that i think about it. do some searching on here youll find tons of info
