I'v got a 92 4runner and just rebuilt the engine. It seems to run pretty good, but it loses power on even the slightest hill. I can't find anything wrong with the engine. When I drive down the highway, I get up to 65MPH and its seems ok but i lose a littll bit of power when I put it in 5th and can only get over 65 if I put it in 4th and when I put it into 5th i lose it again and slow back down. Can anyone help.

 

Which motor? Sounds like a normal 22re to me.

Do you know what kind of RPMs you are running at highway speeds? What size of tires? Gearing?
