Hey everybody, so my pinion seal had been leaking oil for a little while and after reading up on here I decided to check my breather. Sure enough it was filled with dirt and crap and couldn't breath at all. So I got it all clear but now when I put the cap back on it is very loose. It doesn't just wiggle up and down but left and right and is just very loose in general. Is this supposed to happen? Or should I try to clamp the cap with pliers so it moves less? Thanks

 

As long as the cover can't fall off you're likely good to go. If you're going to do anything to it you may as well invest in parts to extend it out of the way and work on it once.

 

Okay great, I was planning on doing the extension within the next couple months, I just didn't want any issues in the meantime.
