Looking for information on a frame swap

So I'm cleaning up my truck to make it road worthy again. My daughter will be taking my 80 for daily use. As I'm working on my frame to get it ready for Por-15. As I'm using my angle grinder and a flap disc, the more I clean the worse it gets. And I find this.

Luckily for me I have a clean frame ready to go already. My question is this: what are the hidden costs? I know about motor, trans, body bushings, fuel lines brake lines etc, but what am I forgetting? What's a realistic time line for a frame swap? Any and all information is appreciated 👍

@slacker what do you think sir, is twice as long as it took them to get the body off the frame way under estimated?

I guess it kind of depends on how much prep you put into reassembly during disassembly. That whole taking pictures and bagging and tagging things during disassembly pays off on reassembly. There is also a time factor for how long it's been since it was taken apart, fresher memories and all that.

Kind of dependent on the state of the donor also. There are only about a dozen bolts holding the body and drive train, another dozen or so for the suspension.. And an assortment of inter connects.

Took me a little less than 6 months, lol. But, then again, it was winter and I dont have a garage, so doing it in the driveway/backyard. (my neighbors hate me). donor was 86 LWB that I needed to modify to accept my 94 SWB body. In a garage or with tractor/forklift/etc it isn't hard, just time consuming. make a plan for every stage of reassembly before walking out of the house, that will force you to think about anything you may "forget" to do and save you time from disassembly and reassembly (again, lol).

Depending on any time/space constraints, it's not technically difficult, and rewarding once its done and back on the road again! Good Luck and take lots of pictures or better yet, time lapse video!

sorry for my delay , I was swapping a frame
as I tell my customers " It really just depends on what you want as a final product , and how thick your wallet is "

the parts list can be almost endless and expensive

or it can be moderate ..

I suggest , just getting under the truck , and assess what you have . and start pricing parts
