long cranking on startup
Are there any common problems I should look for that would cause my 4runner to crank for an excessive amount of time before it fires? Sometimes it starts right up, but more often than not, I have to crank it for 15-20 seconds before it fires. It always starts, it runs great, I just don't like that it takes that long to start.

If it seems to fire right up after only being off a short while, maybe an hour or two or maybe even overnight, but if it sits a day or two and takes longer to fire up, it could be the fuel pressure regulator. Could be the pressure regulator anyways, but....
also could be low battery voltage.

It has a brand new starter, brand new optima battery, new battery cables, I did the relay mod thing to bypass the ignition switch, so the starter solenoid is connected directly to the battery through the relay. I was thinking it's most likely a fuel issue. Where is the regulater on 22re's?
This is the only thing I don't like about owning something I've never had, I don't know where everything is yet, lol.
