Location of the reverse lights on an 87 4runner

Location of the reverse lights on an 87 4runner
This seems simple but I have googled and searched this forum. Are they in the tail lights or were they in the bumper. I do not have working reverse lights but I have a home-made bumper, so I don't know if they were there or not.

They should be in the same location as my 88, in the tail lights.
