You won't know exactly until you put it on but if you gave more details on the kit we'd probably have a better idea...

If it's a bracket/block lift you'll get pretty much exactly what they say you will.

I got 4inches out of my Superlift that was on my '92. I was unaware that Fabtech made anything for the older toyota pickups. I have seen many lifts in different sizes for the Tacomas.

Interesting!?!?!

Can you take a picture of the components? It is possible the lift is not for your exact model of truck? Maybe it's for a 2wd?

Just curious, why don't you think this lift will give you the 3.5" it claims?

cause i heard that you never get the actual lift cause of the weight of the truck lowers the clearence of the ride so i was wonder what it would actually come out to be?

That doesn't really make sense, where did you hear that? All you do is adjust the front suspension to your liking whether you add a lift kit or not.

Frank

He got that from one of the pages on 4crawlers site...

Ideally, you would want to get the suspension set up first. Why? Because suspension lifts are the most variable in terms of how much lift you will get. That is you may get more or less lift than the kit was "advertised" to provide. Nothing wrong with this, it is just life. Your vehicle may be lighter or heavier than what the kit was designed for. Also, things like springs settle over time. Also suspension lifts vary in flexibility, so your new suspension may or may not allow the wheels to compress up as much as stock.

http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/...it.shtml#FAQ10 towards the end of faq10...

He's been doing his homework.

I see what he's getting at. I was thinking of the front of our trucks. What's on 4cralwer's site is exactly true for the rear lifts or for front leaf spring lifts. Actually, it's true for any non-adjustable suspension. So, the lift might not bring the back of the truck up as high as lifted (truck Vs. 4runner with same spring) but you can adjust the front to your liking.
