Lift questions for 89-94 trucks

Alright I'm new here so if I sound dumb I apologize in advance.
1993 22re Reg. Cab IFS
I need new suspension and I was thinking about going for a couple of inches while I'm at it. OME is the way I want to go, but my local shop said not to use BJ spacers. Problem is, I can't find any other way to lift my front end besides a bracket lift. Can going with OME HD torsion bars and cranking them up a bit get me 2" of lift, or should I just send it and get BJ spacers?

local shop sounds like he doesn't know what he is talking about. slap you some 4Crawler BJS on there, put some Dakar packs n the back, adjust the load on your torsions bars slightly to level it off and enjoy your new amazing ride quality.
