Leafspring swap, RUSTT!
Haha hey guys, so i bought some new OEM leafsprings for my 92 toyota pickup (4banger 4x4) and i got all the nuts cracked fine, got the u bolts off and everything, but the bolts that go into the bushings at either end of the shackle arent budging. I cant slide them out at all... what i think happened is that the bolt rusted to the metal sleeve on the inside of those bushings and now there basicly 1 rusted part...
My question is does anyone know of a trick to pop those suckers out?... would they still be usable?, my guess is no... and in that case finding a new bolt is no problem but i have no idea who sells OEM shackles for this truck
Im a bit of a new-b wrencher so
Any help or tips much appreciated guys, thx, and rockon!

The bolts that go into the shackles, I believe are pressed in.
Take both nuts off the bolts in the shackles, lots of good penetrating oil (WD-40 isn't very good, get liquid wrench or something like that).
If you're hammering on the bolts, make sure you leave the nut on, so you don't destroy the threads. You can always clean up/grind the nuts into shape.
Is all the weight off the springs? i.e is the truck supported on the frame and the axle removed?
