Just bought my first toyota in Puerto Rico... '87 22R 4wd 5spd. It needs a lot of love so going to be a slow daily driver build. It's former owner used it to haul tourists (flatbed) on his farm so the suspension is overall pretty jacked right now. Mostly curious about this leaf spring set up and if it's normal/broken... slightly confused about the shackle area and if the leaf is actualy supposed to wrap around the bolt/bushing. Many thanks

 

You have some home made Shackles

It is also possible the springs are off something else

They look like the ends you see all the time

Not sure if your Truck was imported from the USA or another Market so it might have had slightly different springs
