Hey yall,

My 1986 4runner, 22re, have no problem but a very random time engine light appeared and tends to disappear for short time. I decided to check the engine code, it says the knock sensor. I am not sure if this is the serious issue or can ignore for a while because it is absolutely nothing any symptoms appear just occasionally engine light appeared.

I was getting the same code, so I pulled the knock sensor and cleaned the threads on the sensor and in the block, reintstalled and the code hasn't come back. Cheap easy fix to try.
