just picked up a 93 4runner

i just picked up a stock 93 4runner 3.0 automatic truck for cheap. has a blown engine. truck is nice shape, no body rust and interior is real clean. this is something that i have been after since my kids are out growing the extended cab pickup and i needed a family ride.
i got the engine pulled from my 90 pickup 5spd and dropped into the 4runner w/auto trans. ran into a few snags while hooking everything up. the main things i had to change was the distributor / coil harness plugs and throttle body . also a few other harness plugs for sensors. hated to cut into the harness but seen no other way. i dont have it all finished yet but good enough to start. i was happy to hear the engine fire up for a second. left it at that saturday night. will be back at it monday morning and hope all go's good when done and it runs ok. i did not relized some of those things where changed between the years. like the small 6mm spark plug wires.

nice, good to see another 4runner saved and put back on the road. u might of just wanted to use the sensors off the 4runner motor on the motor u put in and then u wouldnt of had to cut any wires,

Or just pull the wiring harness from the truck and swap it in.. Not a huge issue.. Fairly simple actually.....

oops, ya sensor wire just needed repair. all the same sensors on rear of intake, just in different locations. and not sure about swapping the complete harness due to the 4runner haveing power everything and the pickup manual windows and such. really didn't look it over good. plus engine was put all back together when i notice the different plugs. was getting late in the day and should have came back to it next day. but i dont have a vehicle to drive right now.and was rushing..LOL. is the engine harness seperate from the rest of the truck wireing ?.
