Hah just looked at my post again. That would be my lab Remington. He prefers to hunt snakes while I'm mudding. I remember once he brought me back a 6' diamondback back when he was a pup.



Tied it to my bumper to show my appreciation. He's a good boy.

Hey....that looks like that trendy "oatmeal" paint job! I thought Texas had "real" mud.......hehehe.

You have a rather thick leaf pack on the rear there, Clint. Have you consider readjusting the LSVP linkage? Or, are you just not having any braking problems from the rear?

BTW, Clint.....I really like your truck. It looks great!! Personally, I'd stick with the color it is....as far as painting it goes. It really looks nice, I think.

Yeah, that's a 7 leaf packs. Front is even thicker. Still flex's like crazy, which REALLY surprised me seeing as how they aint even tapered springs... As far as that LSPV goes, Yeah I probably really should make me a bracket. I wouldn't have ever noticed (cause those heavy duty front springs don't let it nose dive), but one night I got out after driving, and the front end was smoking. Maybe I should just bypass it. Dunno...

Thanks Matt. Yeah I might keep it that color, I just need to get around to doing some body work there on those two rust pockets on the bedside...

at least you have mud, we have dust. even with the 10 inches of rain a few weeks ago. the wind has been blowing like it does in west texas, drying out everything.

How is that TG kit treating you so far?
I would love to go with it, but do not have the skills or shop that are necessary for the fab work on that kit (meaning I have never welded in my life).

Lol yeah it's definitely not a bolt on kit. Does very well. I probably should have gotten the non heavy-duty 5" front leaf springs since I don't have a v6 or v8 in it (yet). Only other "issue" (though it truly doesn't bother me in the slightest) is that you have to trim half of the body mount where the front shackles go if you want the front to flex to it's true potential. Still haven't gotten the inspiration to do that, build my front bumper, finish grinding down where i took the plasma cutter to the rear fenders, and a couple other things.


Yeah, the diff breather is apparently MIA. Going through all that water was motivation to make me want to change the fluid (finally hit 500mile break-in period for new gears) and take out the rear diff and weld the spider gears while I'm at it. Needless to say, my attempt at motivation failed, cause I'm sittin here on my ass instead lol...

HAAHAHAHAH! Oh. My. God. You know, I've always known that I've got some crazy redneck friends, but my buddy just crowned himself king of our short lived group of friends.

So as I was driving just now I happened to glance at a telephone pole that had a sign stapled to it talking about a cat that was found.



First glance I just passed over it. On second glance I noticed "HEY! Thats not a cat!". On third glance I noticed that "Hmm... I've got a buddy named Matt" and I thought that number looked very familiar.

We'll sure enough, I swung by my bud's house and lo and behold:



Apparently it is never too early to start drinking. Let the games begin.

Nice truck, that mud paint job was pretty decent. I absolutely despise the fricken mud. I only go mudding in my f250. Haha then i slide around on my sled in my rain gear with my power washer and spray the living crap out of the bottom. Usually i leave the mud on the top for a little while just to be cool haha. but the bottom is sparkly. I really dont know what to say about the animals. Have u ever eaten a squirrel?
