Junk yard score
I ran by the local U-pull-and-pay place during lunch to look for an inner door handle for the 4runner and ended up buying that and another Supra MAF for the 22re.
25$ well spent.

Yeah I didn't have time to look around much so I'm going back to tomorrow with some time and some tools. I had to pull the MAF (AFM/Whatever) with leatherman and my fingers. I'm hoping to get the throttle body off of that car and stick it on my 4runner so I'll have a 3" intake all the way to the plenum and eliminate that step down that's in there now.
Of course I'll also look for some more Supra goodies. I'll put the one I just bought on the truck and run it for a while and if it works then I'll sell the other one for a little bit of cash.

Man, I wish I had time to hit up the junkyard. I still have to score some v6 calipers and a dual diaphram booster. Maybe an elocker...
I doubt you'll have an issue selling that AFM on here! lol!!

Is it a direct bolt on and what kinds of gains are you looking at getting?
Thank you,

The stock TB is about 2.5" ID (maybe 2.25"), the Supra TB is 3" ID so it will eliminate the choke point at the TB. The Supra MAF is 3" ID on both ends so I get better air flow with it, the stopage is the TB.
I'll do a write up when I do the swap.
The gains I look for are some better throttle response and better hill climbs. With the Supra MAF in there I eliminated my 5th gear hill climb and noticed a minor gain of 2mpg in town. Once I get the intake re-run to the outside and can pull cooler air I'll see a little more. I also plan on doing the exhaust up to 2.5" from the cat back so I can push the larger volumn of air that comes into the engine out.

About the exhaust...May be an idea for ya. I came across some galvanized, if I remember correctly it's about 2.25 round about there. I have it going from just past that cute little y pipe back to a muffler that's 2.5 and then out just past the rear axle. I eliminated the CAT for now. I'll probably have to reinstall it...if I do I'll just cut a bit out and weld on in. I have not checked prices in piping but for me it was cheaper than having someone do it for me. I did have to buy some elbows, I don't have a bender.

From what I've read it is a bolt on mod but I'll have to verify that once I get it.
