yes, blue... lol...
for the record, the point hes trying to get across is the fact that other than the pistons, the turbo and the exhaust system, its still just a 22R-E

Little update here. I swapped the MAF I bought last week into the rig in place of the one I've had for a little over a year and it turns out the old one had a "dead spot" at 2500rpms. I didn't really notice it at all but with the one I got last week in there I damn sure noticed a difference. I ran a little over 450 miles today going out to do some fishing and didn't have an issue at all.

Good news: The MAF I have in there now is in a hell of alot better shape than the one I had. (

Bad news: The MAF isn't for sale anymore. Sorry to those of you that asked.

Oh and on a side note I caught and released 19 trout today in a span of about 4 hours. I brought home my limit of 5 and in talking to the game warden on the way out of the park there were only two people that put a hook in anything yesterday and today and the other guy only caught 3 in two days of fishing.

I'm going back next weekend and spending a few days, this could be my new hobby and I'll bet it's cheaper than building Yotas.

Nothing yet, I went fishing instead of hitting the scrap yard for the TB. I'll try to go tomorrow if I'm not too fat from eating trout and drinking beer.

At least your excuse for not getting things done are way better then bleeder's.

A wedding instead of getting his 22re back together? I guess they have beer. And hot chicks dressed up. Maybe its a tie. The only reason hot chicks plus beer is equal to trout and beer is purely the fact you have to wear a monkey suit and try to act civilized at least until the dancing starts.

Anybody know if the 82-85 Supra throttle bodies are all the same part #? Or is it another "82 only for plug and play?"

Yeah Bleeder is lazy I think, just don't tell him I said so.

The only year Supra that is a plug and play for us is the 82. The numbers are 22250-43110 on the top of the MAF. I ran through a box of 22250-43150's (83-85) before I found one that had the numbers I needed when I dropped 70$ on the first one. The guy at the yard thought they were all the same and only let me do my own looking when I told him I wasn't buying anything without those exact numbers. They are rare my friend.

I already found the MAF (craigslist score for 20 bucks!) But the throttle body looks like there is a difference with the TPS. The Supra is 3 wires, the 22re is 4. All the threads with people trying this never have a finite post stating whether or not it was awesome or a bust.

You must be the guinea pig I guess. A trout eating, beer drinking guinea.

Nothing yet on the upgraded TB?

I have a bit of money and wanted to try this upgrade if it were good.

Seems like a worthwhile upgrade but I dont want to waste money if it is not.

Thank you...

trout coma? I have to admit its the beer that keeps me from getting things done.

I just wish I would have gotten the LCE big bore throttle body being sold on craigslist WITH a supra MAF for 100 bucks! I think I called within the hour of it being posted, and I was 3rd in line. So here I wait to see if you can swap the TPS from the 22re onto the Supra TB for a nice little upgrade.

Sorry guys. I haven't had a chance to hit the scrap yard. Since the weather has bee no nice and I got the bikini top on the runner I've been at the lake every weekend. Today is a BBQ with the family, tomorrow is probably fishing again. If I can squeeze an hour this afternoon I'll hit the yard and grab the TB.

Really sorry folks.

The only bad thing about the junk yards here is that they rotate stock. If you see something on a rig that you want you need to get back and grab it in the next couple of days. I usually keep a tool kit in the truck and try to stop in during lunch if I can swing it. That way I can grab what I want when i come across it.

Well around next month Im going to be on a search for the MAF if you find one before me let me know. If I find it on my own I might have a few questions about putting it in.
