ive got a pretty serious fuse prob

ok, well i just realized that i have been running a 30 amp fuse as my 1990 toyota pickup EFI fuse when it only calls for a 15. so figuring that i was just out of 15's when i put it in i changed it back. well i left my dads shop and got about a block before it blew. so i have to run a 30 until i can figure it out.

does anyone have any ideas about what i could be? o and could this be a reason why my gas mileage is rediculously bad?!?!

possibly.
check the wiring around the transmission for any wires that may be shorting.
you may be able to put a 15 in and shake the wires until you can make it blow.

the ecu powers lots of things...
anyhow, I've heard that O2 sensor wiring can short out quite easily due to where it runs.

I just blew my EFI fuse, after finding out that the wiring going down the side of the engine melted against the EGR tube.

just looked at a wiring diagram and on 89/90 trucks, the 15a EFI fuse powers the ECU and all the sensors.

also check the driver side frame rail where it passes beneath the engine
on mine the big pack of wires rubbed on the frame until it wore through
just an idea

Yes, get a multimeter, and test the current draw of the fuel pump. I wouldn't be able to tell you what's a normal reading though.
