interest in a V6 Aussie Locker?

I spoke with Bill Cole and he said the reason they haven't made a V6 4 pinion locker is because their factory is so busy milling other types of lockers.

If we were to convince him that there is huge market for a V6 locker, perhaps he would use some of the milling capacity to build us a locker. I have a 4 cylinder 4Runner with 4 cyl. diffs, but I want to upgrade to 4.56s for relatively cheap and still have an Aussie to go with it.

What I want is to find out who would buy an Aussie Locker for a V6 differential? No discussion about why you bought a Lock Right please, just I want to gauge the interest.

Matt

I'd buy one or two for my 4 Runner.

I'd pre-order one if I were able to get in within a couple months.

Hey guys,

I heard different story from Aussie Locker engineer(see attached link below)

I don't know who is Bill Cole, but you should ask him about situation.
As a proof, I check the e-mail correspondence with Aussie sales engineer, but i must have deleted when I ordered Lock Right so I don't have it, but attached link includes copy of Aussie sales engineer reply for my question.

FYI - I have been waiting V6 Aussie over 1.5 years and finally I decided to go with Lock Right 1st week of March.

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...-right-135287/

Here is the follow up with aussie sales engineer,
Mid Feb. '08 - Production is already started in AUS. AIR shipped to US last week of FEB. right now they are adjusting currency due to weaken US dollar - fixed US market price will be out by end of Feb.

I offer them to take my deposit via credit card because I heard they are taking advanced orders and as result of my research, I know I will buy even the price is $300 (Lock right is $249 or less) and offer him to take my FEDEX account # so he can ship via FEDEX on my cost (=I was willing to pay US retail price on the top paying FEDEX from AUS to US)

He said check with manager and get back to me and never heard since then.
I just tired of waiting and got my Lock Right 3/4/08.

I work for auto manuf. as product planning and heavily involved with global logistics including currency risk management to US market retail pricing.
goes into mass production means 90% of cost issue is done and sales team should be working on media release and proto type to magazine and at least announcement on their website. Especially for this kind of aftermarket products.

Anyway, I was like you for 1.5 year and I hate you guy to be experience same disappointment.

Aussie seems to be better products than Lock Right in my eyes, but I made my decision and my experience with Aussie representative will make me think twice about their statement.

Please let me know who is Bill Cole, I am just curious.

Thanks and Good luck.

Me too, but I'd like the option of putting a v6 Aussie locked 3rd in my truck.

I want to buy 4.56s from an V6 auto an have an Aussie Locker as well. That is my motive. As stated, I am on a mission to make V6 Aussie Lockers available.

The more support we have for the product on this thread, the more likely Aussie will make a locker.

Rally the troops!
