Ok, I searched online and the part numbers, but I have an 86 4runner with a bad fuel tank and found a 86 pickup tank for sale. The part numbers are a little different, but the tanks from pictures look almost the same. Could I fit the pickup tank in my 4Runner without much modification? Thanks for the help.

 

I don't think they are interchangeable. I know for a fact that the 4Runner tank hangs down lower under the truck than the pickups because of the lower floor in the 4Runner. I think the tank mounts are in a different location.

 

man, I found a good price on a truck tank, I was hoping there was a way to fit it.

 

Like said above, it has to be a tank for a 4Runner, or it won`t work.
