Intake Removal

so i'm doing a timing chain, and i am having a real issue getting the intake off. Almost positive that i've gotten all of the bolts off, no i haven't checked the a diagram, but me and the other guy looked around and felt around for a good ten minutes and couldn't find anymore bolts. So, are there any real tricky bolts on the intake or did Toyota just glue it on. Thanks in advance.

Thumbs up

You didn't say what engine you were working on, but..I'm in the middle of a 22R right now and ended up pulling the head with intake attached. It can be done, just make sure you get all the lines loose before lifting to avoid breaking a timing guide.

22RE, but oh man, yeah, thats definitely it, i didn't take apart the upper half of the intake, i was hoping i didn't have to. I'm going to have my head taken to a machine shop to check for flatness and all that good stuff. But thanks, that be the bolt.

Why are you taking the intake off to change the timing chain??? You can do it with the head on.
