I just passed smog here in California and won't be due for another 2 years. How am I supposed to change this sensor and get rid of the light/code, if I'm not supposed to use it on pollution controlled vehicles? Anyone have an idea, or is this some stupid California thing. BTW, I have a 1990 4Runner SR5 V6 with a new engine, new everything, new sensors (except the IAT), etc. Any help would be great!!!
it means they haven't been evaluated and certified by the arb, or carb for use, but if it works, then it makes no difference because you will still pass smog, unless you have a different problem. it's like all those lights that say "off-road" but you can still use them on-road if you install them right...... btw, i'll sell you one half that.
