That gauge will do nothing for performance, fuel economy or anything of the sort. It sounds like you have messed something up with the install.

All that gauge dose is makes a little light display to distract you wile driving that's about how useful they are.

If it started running bad when you disconnected it I bet the wiring is damaged from your install and taking it out broke the connection making the truck run bad.

Yeah hopefully not... I will reset the ECM later than check the wire for any change...
