Input on tire choices

i got a pair of them on my taco work good in the snow but not so well in the mud! i got 20,000 miles on them and they still have over half tread!
go with a swamper or bogger, i ran 35x10.50x15 with a 3"body rubbed a lil but ohhhh so much traction!

If you can handle something like a 33x12.50 and if you DD it, or drive it primarily on the street, but want to get a good wheelin tire, i would highly highly recommend the firestone destination M/Ts. Great bite, excellent in various terrains, and great wear. I had over 30K on mine with a good solid 2 years of wheelin on them in addition to a DD and they still had some bite. only reason i replaced them is i wanted something bigger and they only sold up to a 33, which is why i went MT/R for the 37"s... I would advise on them, but I havent wheeled them enough yet.
EDIT: actually saw the part where you dont put a lot of miles on it... (sorry) Go with some small boggers!

here it is before I painted it all black, I'm getting ready to paint it in urban digital camo. I run a custom gun coating business and am going to use the truck for a bit of advertising. [IMG]

I ran the 34x9.50 bias TSL's with NO lift, but rubbed a little. Might have been because of aftermarket wheels with a little less backspacing (tires stuck out more).
IMHO, they weren't that impressive offroad. Certainly not good enough offroad to justify how bad they were on road.
My next tires will probably be Trxus MT's

What didn't you like about them on road?, the noise? did they wear really bad? I would think they would be a great mud tire, being tall and skinny. I guess what I'm looking for is a tire that is good for DD, but is still good in the mud and snow.

yea...that looks like...a 2in body lift...or a crank on the T-bars and AAL in the rear...lol...not a 4in lift....looks almost stock...biggest u could probably fit on that thing is about a 33x12.50 MAYBE...with lots-o-trimming...LTB's are better in the mud and muck than the regular TSL's...im going with 33x13.50 LTB's as my next tires..i currently run 31x10.50 TSL's on my '80 4x4...best truck in town besides the couple of chevies with 49's....lol..damn rich people...

just looking for your opinons on which tires you guys prefer that are good for a DD and for mud/snow. Thanks to all who have shared. If i was lied to is of no concern to me really, the truck was given to me. I know 31x10.50s fit so I will either stay with that size or make room for something different.

for a DD and mud/snow, definately Destination M/Ts. If the tires that are on it in the pic are 31x10.50s, it looks like you might be able to step up to a 32x11.50 without much work or worry. You may get a little rub, but i dont think it would be too bad.

Truck looks pretty stock to me. Before you start getting bigger tires, what gear ratio do you have? and are you planning on switching them. Don't buy taller tires, unless you know this for sure.
