Injectors, year model differences?

Injectors, year model differences?
While picking up my gasket kit I asked about injectors for the 92 with a 22re and he said they only had them for a 88 with a 22re.. does it make a difference?
also I don't know if I have multi port or TBI

But does the year difference make a difference for the injectors used? As in can I buy these that are listed for an 88 w/ a 22RE and use them in my 92 with a 22RE?

Off the cuff there were at least FOUR different injectors used on the 22RE
There are TWO basic types
low resistance (4 ohm?)
high resistance (14 ohm?)
The low ohm ones (peak / hold?) were used in the early "bent intake" 22RE - up to about 88/89
The part numer is moulded onto the inector on a small tab.
Read off the part number on YOUR injectors
Ask the seller to see what number is on HIS injector
If they part number is the same - yer good as far as that goes.
As far as used injectors - IMHO yer better off sending your inejectors off to RC Engineering for a cleaning than taking a crap shoot on used injectors.

I've used RC Engineering - they do a great job.
A more economical option is to use witchhunter.com. He'll clean and flow test them for a great price. Ships 'em back fast. He includes new rubber.. Heck of a deal.
As mentioned above, watch the impedance - best to match the number on the injectors.

Cool, thanks guys.
I think I'll take them up there and match the numbers, I'd prefer not to deal with having them cleaned.
I'm just nit picky like that, lol.
Appreciate the responses.

Having them cleaned is not painful, doesn't take much time. I used WitchHunter and he was quick, turns them around in a day or so. If you spend the money to use overnight shipping you could be down at little as 3 days. It's not much money, $17 per injector and he did the four regular injectors and cold start.
