I was at the local pick and pull to get a fuel rail for my 87 Runner (22RE). I found an intake from a 22RE that had a fuel rail and injectors so I grabbed everything thinking I would send the 4 injectors off to Witchunter for cleaning. When looking at my 87 today, I noticed that the plug style was different (square connector vs. rounded connector) on the two sets of injectors. I then noticed that the part number on the injectors were different. Both are Denso, but different PN's. Can anyone tell me if they are interchangeable? I recognize that I will have to swap out new connectors but want to know if they are the same specs before I send them off to witchunter.

 

nope, different resistances between the two, not sure what year they changed but they did change.
