Injector pics??

Anyone have or know anywhere I can take a look at good and bad injectors? I just want to make sure mine aren't too crusted....

When you de-coke the head you also grind in the valves. The same goes for the injector tips except it takes a expert with the right kit to do it. Diesel injectors should be re-built every 60,000 miles. Its the wear on the tips not the crud that is the main problem.

The injectors on the 22RE are good for 150K+ miles before requiring cleaning, unless your engine is running really dirty. Mine had 200K on them and all they needed was to be sent to a cleaning shop. Now they're good as new and ready for another 100K.

hehe...on further inspection today, how important are the little plastic caps that fit over the end on the 3.0's? They seem to be what's breaking.
