The one I bought went right in.....I am running a electric gauge though...It kinda sounds like you are trying to run a mechanical

Ok , Can someone give me the part number for the electric gauge that will screw right in .. I have all these adapters and not a freaking 1 of them will fit my block!! I don't know what to do, Ive burnt up enough gas and bought enough fittings to open a small store!! Every fitting i have will not start, 1 thread might grab then you can put a wrench on it and it fall off and hit you in the face everytime.. I can take factory sending unit and screw it in with my eyes shut, yes i tested that , i done eyes closed, but i can't beg a fitting in it

Ok i just found my bolt size chart , the flat peace with the diffrent size holes in it. I don't know the propper name for it but the the male end of my factory sender is 3/8 / 9.53mm Every adapter i have is 25/64 / 9.92mm .. Its bigger than the factory sender!!.... Anybody know where to go from here??????????

You can't measure that sender with a standard bolt deal.. It's BSP (pipe thread) which means the diameter changes slightly - it's tapered.

Need a BSP to NPT adapter typically... Jegs/Summit will have one for sure.

What do you all think about getting a tap the same size as my fitting and attemting to rethread the block? Man i'm scared i will strip the threads though and end up pulling the motor to put a heli coil in or something.. I'm about to just give up and run it like it is until it won't go anymore , sell it and start over

I have a SunPro oil pressure gauge that was bought at VIP on my 22RE.

Sunpro sells the metric fitting kit. It comes with four fittings and it is part number CP7573. I never did buy it. I simply rethreaded my fitting to the metric thread and used a thread sealer when I installed it. I couldn't wait to order it at the time and it's been working fine with no leaks for over a year. Although I guess I should still order the right ones. I also wanted to get the copper tubing kit because I was told the teflon tubing wears down and leaks after a while but I never ordered that either.

That was back when the auto parts guys were forced to know a thing or two. Now if the computer doesn't tell them it exists then it doesn't. I had a guy tell me the other day that 4runners didn't have a manual transmission.I told him that I knew they did but I wasn't sure if a manual could be had in both the 4 cyl and the V6. (talking about a 95 model)

He typed away at his terminal for a minute and said, "Nope I'm not pulling up a part # for a manual, so they didn't have one."

I called the manager of Advance he is suppose to meet me there at 9 in the morning and help me.. He sounded like a older guy not a young kid so maybe i will get somewhere

Advance was useless this morning. The dude argued with me telling me i just couldn't start it , that it would fit.. Almost got to fighting in there!! I went to Napa , They get the prize. I have 4 diffrent fittings screwed together to get it adapted to the right size but it works except for the plastic tubing is not even close to long enough to reach inside the truck. I got fastened under the hood for right now. I got 70 psi cold and 45 psi at operating temp.

I'm not sure what the problem is here? Are you just trying to put in another gauge? Or do you have a nonSR5 cluster and want a real gauge? I understand how you feel about local parts stores, sometimes it's better to order online! Anyways, why run mechanical? I'm running two electric oil senders on my 22R-E and both work great. BPST. I use VDO gauges from SUMMIT, they're simple, inexpensive and work great.
